In less than eight years Fits & Starts
Productions, LLC has become North America’s
leading provider of audio seminars to
music-recording students and audio
professionals. We specialize in live sound
reinforcement, podcasting and surround-sound audio, and have conducted more
than 600 seminar/workshops on these subjects during the
past eight years. We tour the USA each year
to over 50 cities conducting workshops at such host sites as Full
Sail, Tempe Conservatory, NYU, Peabody
Conservatory, UMass Lowell, Institute of
Audio Research, SAE, Seattle Art Institute,
Berklee College of Music, AES and
NARAS (Grammy) chapters and many, many more.
Now due to demand from our sponsors, we've
added another 36-city Church Sound Workshop
tour for 2008. These Saturday workshops are
designed for church volunteers that need to
select and operate sound systems for their
own worship services. With over 350,000
churches in the USA alone, the House of
Worship market
is an already large and growing buyer of pro
sound gear. Click on
Church-Sound for more information.

These tours are manufacturer sponsored,
which provides sponsors with the opportunity
to showcase their products to nearly 4,000
music-audio students and professionals each
tour season. We integrate your equipment
into our traveling surround system and
really use it so attendees can see and hear
what the gear can do. Present and past tour
sponsors include Tannoy, Mackie, Allen &
Heath, Digital Theater Systems (DTS),
Marantz, Apple, Mark of
the Unicorn and others. We work only with
the top audio companies and provide a
reliable, hands-on marketing source to audio
manufacturers, enabling them to showcase
their audio products to qualified audiences.
Each audience member comes away with
increased knowledge of the subject matter
and with a heightened awareness of what
products can do. We attract 40-60 qualified
attendees per seminar (high of 350; low of
30), and conduct the seminars at both
churches and university sites. We can, if you would like, supply
you with an FTP site where you can see
photos of seminars.

Hi Hector
and Mike:
I
wanted to write a quick note to say
thanks for your continued hard work [on
the Fits & Starts Productions HOW-TO
Surround Sound road tours], and to
extend our appreciation for the manner
in which you continue to use Tannoy
[speakers] in a very positive manner in
your surround
sound and Church sound
workshops. The latest sale [to
Shenandoah University] was based on your
educational workshop tours, and
generated an order for 30 plus pairs of
Proto J speakers. It is just another
example of the value your work brings to
the Tannoy brand.
Thanks
again.

Our principal surround lecturer is Mr. Mike
Sokol, an outstanding audio engineer with
over 30 years experience in live and
recorded sound (Maryland Symphony, Mountain
Green Concerts, MHA Audio, etc…), as well as
audio circuit design and acoustics. A
well-known surround authority who has
written over 1200 articles for Electronic
Musician, Mix, EQ, Gig, TV Technology, AES
Journal and other publications, Mr.
Sokol also is the author of The Acoustic
Musician’s Guide to Sound Reinforcement and
Live Recording, published by Prentice
Hall.
As audio products and technology become
increasingly more complex, the usual methods
of marketing and educating potential
consumers become less effective. That is why
the educational, hands-on seminar approach
is now so important.
Call Fits & Starts Productions, LLC for more
information on how we can assist you in
educating your customer on the value of your
products and technology.
